"Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath beguna good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6).

By then it will be obvious how valuable the "Exceeding Great And Precious Promises" (2Peter 1:4) were in securing our sanctification and our final perseverance. "Faithfulis He that calleth you, Who also will do it" (1Thessalonians 5:24). It will be seen in Heaven that thoughour willing cooperation in our own perseverance was absolutely necessary, it wasGod's faithfulness that made it all possible. For "bythe grace of God I am what I am" (1Corinthians15:10). Let no mistake be made that any Saint's perseverance in holiness can be a tributeto man instead, our perseverance is a testimony to the God that sustains and empowersby His grace. 39 But we are not of them whodraw back unto perdition but of them that believe to the saving of the soul" (Hebrews 10:38-39). " 38 Now the just shalllive by faith: but if any man draw back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him. The Blessed Assurance of the True Saints is that no man shall "pluck out of hand" (John10:28), and that we need not live in fear of not persevering to the end. "Cast not awaytherefore your Confidence, which hath great recompence of reward" (10:35). Though lovefor Christ is the primary motivation for all Christian action, it is also appropriateto note that our future Heavenly reward will be for the works that we performed becauseof our confidence in God. "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith withoutwavering (for He is faithful that promised)" (Hebrews 10:23). Notice how God's faithfulness is foundational to anyone who desires to obey the commandto "hold the fort". "Forwe are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfastunto the end" (3:14). These Primitive Christians needed encouragement to persevere, though they had "not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin" (12:4). "But Christ asa Son over His own house whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidenceand the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end" (Hebrews 3:6). Perhaps some are unaware of our necessity to cooperate in our own perseverance infaith, holiness, and righteousness for, it's necessity can be clearly seen in theEpistle to the Hebrews. The LORD Jesus said, "And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake: but hethat endureth to the end shall be saved" (Matthew 10:22). Here is such a thing as the Perseverance of the Saints, that is, that the True Saints must and will continue in a righteous walk until theend. "Thou hast cast all my sins behind Thyback" (Isaiah38:17). "For I willbe merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will Iremember no more" (Hebrews8:12). "Asfar as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions fromus" (Psalm 103:12). This Judgment Seat of Christ is also commonly known as the Bema Seat Judgment ofChrist, where the Saints' works will be judged to determine the nature of their Heavenlyreward- without any mention of punishment for already penitently confessed, Divinelyforgiven, and Providentially forgotten sins. And, since "God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His name" (Hebrews 6:10), He has appointeda time that "wemust all appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hathdone, whether it be good or bad " (2Corinthians 5:10). Our gratitude for this "So Great Salvation" (Hebrews 2:3) results in a "faith which worketh by love" (Galatians 5:6).

"Forby grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift ofGod" (Ephesians2:8).
